Shocked, happy, sleepy, a little bit whacky….no this is not the noughties seven dwarfs but a selection of photos for Project 12 for ’14!

In all honesty, this month’s project was a little rushed as my son was poorly so I wasn’t sure if or when it would it happen. However, armed with a new backdrop in his favourite colour and when he was fully recovered, we headed to the studio and chose to concentrate purely on his face and photograph different expressions.

Focusing purely on his face for all of the photo session was challenging for me as I think I’m very much a scenic and negative space photographer so if I’m outdoors I love to incorporate the scene and backdrop into a portrait and when I’m photographing children in the studio, I like to incorporate a child’s style (usually by their clothes) … although I couldn’t stay away totally from my style as I managed to incorporate negative space into some of the photos!

The silly faces resemble his character and are ones which are familiar to me and our family on a daily basis and sure proof ways to make us smile!

Thank you for taking to the time to look at them. I hope you like them and if you would like to share them on your social media pages, you can do so at the end of the post.

I’ve put them together as a two collages initially and then shown them as individual images.

If you would like to book a portrait sessions with me, please get in touch. To view more of my portrait work, please click here where you will find portraits in the studio and lifestyle portraits so you can decide which style you would like
