As today is Father’s Day, I thought it would be a nice idea to capture a photo of my son and dad together for week 23 of Project 52.

My dad is brilliant will my son, always playing and learning him things whether it’s DIY or things about the world and my son really looks up to him. If I ever question anything my son says, he will say to me “it must be right because grandad told me and grandad’s always right”. Knowing that my dad is far more knowledgable about most things than me, I keep quiet.

After a little whisper from my son in my dad’s ear, this is the photo I captured of them. Whilst I do have a “non-pulling face” photo, this is the one that my son and I chose tonight to use as Project 52’s photo as it made us smile.

I’m extremely lucky to have my mum and dad playing an instrumental part in my son’s growing up. My son adores them both as they do him and I’m extremely grateful for everything they do, constantly going out of their way and having more energy than many people half of their age.

Whether it’s a quick photo on your phone or with a camera, don’t shy away from having your photo taken with your children or grandchildren – they really are precious memories.
