My next blog is some photos which I took of my son last month. I’ve been holding off blogging them as I had a large framed photo of the first image done as a surprise for my mum for Mother’s Day and I didn’t want her to see the photos beforehand.

Lifestyle portraits in country parks are great for children as they enjoy playing outdoors which allows me to capture them having fun with natural expressions. These photos were took at Rufford Park which is a place we have been going to since my son was a baby and I have captured many photos here over the years.

Rufford Park has plenty of areas to occupy children and, for grown-ups, it’s a beautiful place to walk around and take in the fresh air.

The day was quite overcast and grey which I felt worked well for the style of the photos. I always use natural light when photographing children outdoors as this is less restricting on my part. As my son has his photo taken so much, I have to come up with new ways to amuse him whilst I take his photo and in this particular photo session, I was lying on muddy floors and climbing walls and got pretty dirty in the process!

He really got into the spirit of posing – we had a lot of fun and I got some beautiful photos – wonderful!

Ok, I know what it looks like but he isn’t doing anything here other than being a cheeky boy 🙂
