A while back, I entered an international photography competition being organised by The 2010 Project. The 2010 Project is raising money for the MacMillan Cancer Support charity and the winning images will be published in a beautifully produced coffee table book called “Life is a bed of roses” to be sold in aid of the charity. All money raised on this project will be donated to the charity.

The image above is one of my son taken last year and happens to be one of my favourite images of him so I was delighted to hear this week that the image had been highly commended in the portraiture category and will be predominately featured in the book.

The organisers are now looking for an overall winner for the competition and if anyone would like to vote for me, I’d really appreciate it.

To vote go to and click on this image (or any other images which you like:-)).

Cancer is something that touches the hearts of many and, although I have never been directly affected by this disease, it is a charity I always like to support in whatever way I can. If you would like to donate to the Project, you can also go to the following link:-

Or you could purchase the book when it is published at the end of October to raise money for a very worthwhile cause.

Many thanks.
