I’D LOVE TO CAPTURE.

Wedding photos capturing how you felt, and how incredible you looked

Based in Nottingham, I photograph couples who want natural and relaxed wedding photography with styled couple portraits.

Your wedding day is unique to you; there’s no other couple like you.
So let’s plan your wedding photos around how you want to remember your day so they are true to your dream, and you love them long after your vows have been exchanged.

Whilst you’re celebrating your wedding with those closest to you, I’ll be photographing it unfold: the glances, the tears, the chaos of confetti, the moment your mum spots you in your dress. The real moments captured as it happens.

Your couple portraits should be the best ones you’ve ever had of yourself.

Not because you stood still and smiled for ten minutes, but because I know how to make you look and feel great, without it ever turning into a never-ending photoshoot.

I offer full-day wedding photography coverage across Nottingham, capturing everything from morning preparations to the dance floor, alongside intimate micro wedding options.

Alison somehow captured not only the big moments of our special day, but also all the little things and funny moments

We absolutely LOVE our wedding photos and Alison was amazing before during and after our big day. She captured our day so beautifully and in a really natural way. Alison is amazing and we’d 100% recommend her to anyone looking to have photos they’ll treasure forever.

Over 15 years photographing weddings

Here’s how I tell the story of your day:

You’ll relive the moments you felt
and the glances you didn’t see.

You’ll smile as you look back
on the fun everyone had.

The emotions will be captured,
without interference.

About Alison

Nottingham Wedding Photographer since 2009

I believe that where there’s love, there are moments to capture and through photos, those memories grow in value with time.

When couples trust me to document their wedding, I approach it with a creative flair and thoughtfulness as I know the photos will become part of a family heirloom.

I’m relaxed and am frequently complimented on my warm and easygoing personality, which helps put people at ease in what can sometimes be an unnatural situation for them.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer to create some genuine memories for you, I’d love to hear from you.

The bit where you find out if we’re a good fit

Natural, documentary, candid, fashion-led; a few words to describe my style, because it’s hard to pinpoint it to one. “Editorial” might be the buzzword of 2026 but I’ve always captured portraits with a posed direction and effortless result. My inspiration came from those iconic shots of Audrey Hepburn on the streets of Rome, and the piles of fashion magazines I used to buy where I was always drawn to the relaxed shoots that took place in the city.

I also love documentary wedding photography, and it was discovering this style nearly 17 years ago that made me think: this is what weddings should be about. I’m a people-watcher at heart, so observing interactions and anticipating moments comes naturally, whilst always looking for the best light the day has to offer.

My editing follows the same principle, classic rather than trend-led. I’ve got a gold award-winning portrait from 2010 still on my wall that hasn’t dated, and that’s the standard I follow with wedding photography.

One thing I always tell couples: you’ll love your photos today. But in 5, 10, 20 years you’ll cherish them, because they become memories for you and generations to follow.

From our first conversation through to your gallery delivery, I make the whole experience as straightforward and enjoyable as the day itself.

Before your wedding I’ll help you think through the timings so nothing feels rushed and every moment that matters gets captured.

On the day I blend in. I’ll be there for the moments you’re part of as well as the ones you don’t see, and I’ll guide you for couple portraits and family photos so you feel comfortable and enjoy it.

I find out in advance who and what matters most to you so nothing important gets missed and nobody spends the day being rounded up for group shots they didn’t want.

You should enjoy your day. Your photos are there to make sure you never forget it.

I offer wedding photography packages from 2 hours up to all day coverage. Whether you’re having an intimate micro wedding or elopement, or a big wedding and want everything capturing from getting ready to partying on the dance floor, I work with you so that you photos cover everything you want to remember your day by.

Wedding FAQs

Wedding photography collections range from £500 to £2,650, depending on the coverage you choose.

This includes options for intimate micro weddings, full-day celebrations and an enhanced collection with albums and travel included. Full details can be found on my pricing page.

I regularly photograph weddings across Nottingham and the surrounding areas, including venues such as Stubton Hall, Nottingham Council Offices, Norwood Park, Cockcliffe Country Park and many more.

If your venue is in Nottingham or the surrounding counties, there’s a good chance I have, and if not, I always take time to familiarise myself with the location ahead of your day.

I’m based in the heart of Nottingham but I’m more than happy to travel across the UK. I offer wedding photography coverage from intimate 2-hour micro weddings right through to full-day celebrations of up to 10 hours.

Of course. I appreciate that everyone likes some formal photos, but I suggest these are kept to around 6 different group photos.   This is so that you and your guests can enjoy the day without waiting around for endless group photos – a comment I often hear from couples who have attended a friend’s weddings.   I’m always happy to work with you as to what you want.

This will depend on the length of coverage you book. This can be from 3 weeks for micro weddings and up to 6-8 weeks for all day coverage, during peak wedding season. I do my utmost to present them to you as soon as possible.

That’s great.   You can message alison@alisonedwardsphotography.co.uk or call/WhatsApp me on 07977 499473. Or you can complete the contact form on my website and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.
