Wedding Photography Leicestershire – Staunton Harold Hall Estate – Laura and Jonathan

At the end of September, I had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Jonathan’s wedding at Staunton Harold Hall Estate. This was the first time I had photographed at Staunton Harold Hall and it is certainly a spectacular venue for your wedding.

It was a beautiful sunny day which started at Laura’s parent’s home in Nottingham for the bridal preparations. We then headed out to Staunton Harold Hall where the ceremony and remainder of the day was celebrated. Laura looked stunning in her 50′s inspired wedding gown and we had some wonderful opportunities for photographs in the grounds.

The speeches involved lots of laughter with Laura even making her own little speech too. The first dance shortly followed the speeches and it didn’t take long for the guests to join in the celebrations on the dance floor.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Laura and Jonathan for choosing me to be their wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to be part of their day and I wish them all the happiness in their future together.

Here is an extract of an email I received from Laura just after the wedding day:-

“…thank you for your professionalism and company at our wedding. It was so nice to be with just jon and you for a bit down by the lake after the ceremony! I hardly noticed you all day – which is meant as an absolute compliment!”

Here are a selection of some of Laura and Jonathan’s wedding photos:-

Newborn portrait photography, Nottingham – 12 days old

On the 10th September 2010, I had the pleasure of photographing Laura and John’s wedding at Makeney Hall. On the 13th September this year, I was delighted to be photographing their first baby – a beautiful baby girl. As with all newborn photography sessions, the portrait session took place at Laura and John’s home using natural light.

Laura and John are clearly enjoying parenthood and it was great to see them both again in the next chapter of their life. Every chapter of a child’s life is exciting and I love to be able to capture these moments for people.

If you would like to view more of my baby portfolio, please click here. I recommend newborn photo sessions take place between the baby being 4-10 days old if you would like your baby to be in the curled up position. If you would like to book a newborn photo session, I recommend booking these in advance. The date can be changed if your baby arrives early or late but it’s always best to get something in the diary. To make further enquiries, please contact me.

Congratulations to Laura and John on the birth of their beautiful baby girl – here’s a look at some of the photos from her portrait session:-

Wedding Photography Nottingham – Norwood Park – Claire and Rob

Earlier in September I had the pleasure of photographing Claire and Rob’s wedding at Norwood Park.

Norwood Park is a beautiful setting for a wedding and it was a very relaxed day which began with bridal preparations in Norwood Park’s bridal suite.

Unfortunately, no photography was allowed during the wedding service but there was plenty of beautiful backdrops after the service for photographs. One of my favourite backdrops for photos is a a field of long grass so when Claire and Rob said they were happy to walk into this I was really pleased and I love the photos which we captured.

There was a rain shower during the portraits but this didn’t deter Claire and Rob and we took shelter under some trees where there just happened to be a tyre swing waiting!

A big thank you also to the guys who were playing cricket in the opposite field who kindly let Rob (being a big cricket fan) borrow one of their bats for a few photos.

Claire and Rob had paid a lot of attention to detail for the wedding breakfast room and this didn’t go unnoticed by their wedding party guests. As well as games to keep everyone entertained later in the day, they even supplied some wraps in case the ladies got cold which I thought was a brilliant idea.

I would like to thank Claire and Rob for choosing me to be their wedding photographer and I wish them all the best in their future together.

Thank you also to Emma for assisting me on the day.

Claire and Rob’s engagement portraits, can also be viewed here.

Wedding Photography Leicestershire Costock – Catherine and Tom

Early September I had the pleasure of photographing Catherine and Tom’s wedding. Catherine is a make-up artist owning Blush-On and so the obvious choice for her make-up was herself! Bridal preparations took place at Catherine and Tom’s home in Costock where Gemma at MeMe Hairdressing in Loughborough did Catherine’s hair and having worked with Catherine and Gemma earlier this year, I knew that both her hair and make-up would be amazing. As you will see, Catherine looked absolutely stunning in her 50′s inspired wedding dress and head piece.

The ceremony took place at St. Giles Church in Costock and, following the ceremony, we moved onto the nearby Manor for some family photographs and Catherine and Tom’s official bride and groom portraits. The gardens looked beautiful and it was a perfect setting for their photos.

We then took a short stroll to the Costock Village Hall where the rest of the wedding party were enjoying the celebrations.

Catherine had gone into so much detail decorating the venue adding beautiful finishing touches to the room.

It was a beautiful day and I would like to thank Catherine and Tom for choosing me to be their wedding photographer and wish them all the best in their future together.

If you would like to view Catherine and Tom’s engagement portrait session which took place earlier this summer, please click here.

If you would like to meet and discuss your wedding photography, please contact me.

Wedding Photography Derbyshire – The Priest House – Clare and Marco

Clare and Marco’s wedding at The Priest House in Castle Donnington was my third there over the August Bank Holiday.

The Priest House is a beautiful setting for a wedding and the weather stayed dry all day meaning the wedding party could take in the scenery whilst celebrating Clare and Marco’s wedding.

Having photographed Clare and Marco for the engagement portrait session back in July, I already knew how relaxed in front of the camera they were and knew that they were happy to do a variety of portraits throughout the day.

Clare looked beautiful and from the moment she walked down the aisle, Marco couldn’t take his eyes off her. The speeches included lots of humour and I think I enjoyed them as much as the guests!

The first dance was rather special too. Clare is a fitness instructor and Marco is a black belt in karate so their first dance started with the theme tune from Dirty Dancing I’ve had the time of my life and quickly went into Carl Douglas’s tune of Everybody is kung fu fighting. It was absolutely brilliant to watch and I showed what great personalities they have.

Here is part of an email which I received from Clare and Marco after the wedding:-

“We had a lovely time throughout the wedding day and were so utterly impressed in how you work, making both us and our guest feel at easy and more so how we hardly even noticed your presence. A true professional!”

Clare and Marco it was a pleasure to be part of your day and I thank you for choosing me to be your wedding photographer.

Thank you also to Emma for assisting me on the day.
