Children’s Portrait Photographer – Nottingham – 9.5 months old

A few weeks ago I met a beautiful baby girl who was 9.5 months old.

The little girl was absolutely gorgeous and a joy to photograph – loved the little kiss-curl too!

The portrait session took place at the family home using my portable studio set-up. As you may have seen from a recent post, I will be offering studio sessions at premises in Ruddington Thursdays and Fridays each week which are ideal for babies and young children if you do not want a lifestyle portrait session. I do still have a 2 free sessions available to launch the studio sessions and if you would like to find out more about these, please read the post here. Wedding Photographer Nottingham – Bestwood Lodge Hotel – Alex and Mark

At the end of April I had the pleasure of photographing Alex and Mark’s wedding at Bestwood Lodge Hotel.

Alex and Mark booked me for their wedding about a year ago and I first met them at the engagement portrait session at Rufford Park.

Upon arriving at Bestwood Lodge the heavens opened but immediately after the service the rain stopped and other than a very small shower, the rain stayed away which was a miracle considering the weather in the morning.

I would like to thank Alex and Mark for choosing me to be their wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to be part of their day and wish them all the best in their future together.

Studio portrait photography

If you are a follower of my blog, you will know that as well as wedding photography I specialise in children’s lifestyle photography. Lifestyle portrait photography has always been a favourite of mine as I love being outdoors and photographing children in natural surroundings as it allows them freedom to roam. However, from the 24th May I will be offering studio portrait sessions every Thursday and Friday at premises in Ruddington, Nottingham. I will be focusing these studio portrait sessions to babies and younger children where it may not be ideal to photograph them outdoors or at your home.

The studio portrait sessions will last 30-45 minutes and will cost £25.00 (rather than £50.00-£75.00 which is the fee for a lifestyle portrait session). If you have a newborn baby, the session is likely to last longer but you will not be charged anymore.

To launch the studio portrait sessions, I will offer free sessions to the first 5 people who contact me. As mentioned above, the studio sessions will be for babies and younger children only at this stage.

These free sessions will take place on the 24th or 25th May between 10.00-2.00 p.m and all that I ask is you “like” my Facebook page.

Portrait Photographer Nottingham – Lifestyle portraits – Wollaton Park

My next portrait session is a lifestyle portrait session which took place at Wollaton Park last month.

I know Diane from The Dress Agency in Radcliffe on Trent and have also photographed a fashion show which she held for charity just before Christmas. The Dress Agency is a great place to buy and sell nearly new designer and high street labels and is worth a trip if you have not already been there.

Diane contacted me for some lifestyle portraits of her 3 children and we decided to go to Wollaton Park which is a great place for portraits. All three children were great to photograph and very photogenic. I was very surprised when Diane told me that her younger son didn’t like having his photograph taken as he was extremely co-operative, as were they all.

I had some lovely feedback from Diane and the children too. Diane’s daughter said ” Mummy I look like I’m a girl in a book” and the boys were “well chuffed”.

Wedding Photographer Nottingham – Norwood Park – Katherine and Matt

In April I had the pleasure of photographing Katherine and Matt at Norwood Park in Southwell, Nottinghamshire.

I first met Katherine and Matt just over a year ago when they booked me to photograph their wedding and I then met up with in earlier in the year for their engagement portrait session at Elvaston Castle in Derby. If you would like to view their engagement session, click here.

Katherine and Matt’s wedding photography began with Katherine, her mum and bridesmaids in the bridal suite at Norwood Park. Katherine was really relaxed and there was a lovely atmosphere in the room whilst everyone was getting ready. I then went to see Matt and his groomsmen for some pre-ceremony photos. We had only been outside a couple of minutes before a downpour hit us. The rain being something which we are all familiar with at the moment, especially during April. I then returned to the bridal suite to continue with the bridal preparations photography.

The ceremony was beautiful and there was some laughter when Katherine couldn’t get Matt’s ring on his finger without a few pushes.

Following the ceremony, champagne followed whilst the guests enjoyed the celebrations. It was then onto the speeches and Matt’s best men put together a great speech which involved Matt getting dressed up – one outfit being a blonde wig and sarong which I recall was a take on David Beckham!

Following the wedding breakfast meal everyone moved into the courtyard for the evening celebrations which commenced with Katherine and Matt’s first dance followed by plenty of dancing from their wedding guests.

As you will see from the photos below, Katherine looked stunning in a beautiful lace dress and Matt’s attire was pretty cool too.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Katherine and Matt for choosing me as their wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to be part of their day and I wish them all the best in their future together.
