It’s been a while since I blogged here and I can’t believe I’m still blogging weddings from last year!
This wedding is of Emma and Nick at Newstead Abbey. It was such a beautiful day. It was very intimate and emotional and going through the photos to choose the ones to blog really brings back the memories of photographing their day.
My day started at their house with their children and family. Emma’s sister did everyone’s hair and the children kept themselves entertained painting. It was very relaxed, good fun and there was even babycham which I haven’t seen since I was little!
I then headed to Newstead Abbey before Emma and her bridesmaids arrived in a VW Camper Van.
The wedding ceremony took place in The Orangery and Emma and the bridal party walked down the aisle to the non-traditional song of (from memory) Firestarter by The Prodigy. If you take a look through the photos below, you will see the bridal party getting into the spirit of the day just before entering the ceremony room.
There were a few tears throughout and you could really feel the emotion of how special the day was to everyone there.
After the ceremony, we walked around the gardens together for photos before going to The Hutt just opposite Newstead Abbey.
Emma looked stunning and I loved their choice of colours and styling. Truly a cool and great family with beautiful children.
I would like to share the following the message with you that I received from Emma after they had viewed their photos:-
“We would both like to say a huge thank you for being our wedding photographer, I appreciate we may not have been the easiest wedding party with only a small number of people along with some of them not being the most forthcoming to have a picture taken 🙂
The photos are lovely and are a great reminder of what happened on our day, you have taken some amazing ones of the children and I think Nick and I look pretty ok too! Ha ha
Thanks again Alison your work is amazing and I hope your new adventures flourish as you deserve them to.”
Thank you again to Emma and Nick for asking me to be your wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to be part of your day and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
I hope you enjoy looking through their photos. If you are looking for a wedding photographer at Newstead Abbey or any other venue and would like to have a chat with me about your wedding, please get in touch.
