At the beginning of December, I had the pleasure of photographing Lisa and Steve’s wedding. The wedding took place at The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel which is a beautiful chic hotel in Southwell and offers a beautiful setting for your wedding day.
It was a perfect winter’s day, blue skies, the sun was shining … and it was very, very cold.
The day started for me with bridal preparations with Lisa in the bridal suite at the hotel and I then went to see Steve and their 4 year old son before all the guests started to arrive.
Their son is absolutely gorgeous and was a little star all day and I think the table of sweets worked a treat. When he first saw Lisa in his dress, he looked so proud and he did an amazing job of walking her down the aisle – I think Santa will definitely be paying him a visit this year!
Lisa and Steve’s wedding was predominately photographed in a documentary style capturing everyone enjoying their special day with minimum posing for photographs.
Following the speeches, we captured a few bride and groom portraits in the evening and hats off to Lisa for facing the cold.
It was then time to party and it was great to see lots of people on the dance floor. Lisa really got everyone dancing when she started dancing to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it) and it didn’t take long before Steve and everyone joined in on the actions too.
As you will see from the photos below, Lisa looked absolutely stunning and Lisa and Steve make a fantastic couple.
Lisa messaged me following viewing their photos:-
“Alison the photos are amazing thank you so much. You captured our day perfectly”
Thank you to Lisa and Steve for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to be part of your wedding day and I wish you all the happiness in the world together.
